The 2017 China Fragrance, Flavor and Cosmetic Industry Annual Conference was held in Shanghai in September. To fully understand the national macroeconomic situation and deeply recognize the opportunities and challenges brought by the "Belt and Road" initiative, the China Association of Fragrance, Flavor and Cosmetic Industries held its 2017 annual conference in Shanghai from September 19th to 21st. The theme of this year's conference was "Focusing on the Three-Product Strategy to Create a Brilliant Industry," facilitating in-depth exchanges on industry regulations, policies, and market information, and discussing industry development. A series of activities were also held during the conference, including: the 6th International Cosmetics High-Level Forum, the 11th China Fragrance, Flavor and Cosmetic High-Level Forum, a macroeconomic situation report, a keynote speech on public opinion management in the new media era, a release conference on fragrance trends in daily chemical products, and a 2017 information release conference.

The 2018 China Fragrance and Cosmetic Industry Science and Technology Conference was held in Guangdong Province. From June 26th to 28th, the "2018 China Fragrance, Flavor and Cosmetic Industry Science and Technology Conference and the 12th Academic Symposium," hosted by the China Association of Fragrance, Flavor and Cosmetic Industries (hereinafter referred to as "the Association") and co-organized by Infinitus (China) Company Limited, was held in Jiangmen, Guangdong. Chairman Chen Shaojun of the Association, Director Gao Yanmin of the Consumer Goods Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and relevant leaders from the Drug Registration Department of the National Medical Products Administration, the Center for Evaluation of Health Foods, and the Cosmetic Testing Institute of the China National Institutes for Food and Drug Control attended the conference. The conference also invited Academician Chen Jian, President of Jiangnan University, and Professor Xiao Zuobing of Shanghai University of Applied Technology to deliver keynote academic reports. Academician Sun Baoguo, President of Beijing Technology and Business University, who was unable to attend due to other commitments, sent a congratulatory message to the conference, which was read aloud by a designated person. Nearly 200 technical leaders, R&D personnel, and experts from enterprises in the fragrance, flavor, cosmetics, raw materials, packaging, and equipment industries, as well as universities, research institutes, and other organizations, participated in the conference.

The 2020 China Fragrance, Flavor and Cosmetic Industry Technology Conference was held in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. From August 13th to 14th, 2020, the 2020 China Fragrance, Flavor and Cosmetic Industry Technology Conference, themed "Meeting Challenges and Starting Anew," was successfully held in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. The conference was hosted by the China Association of Fragrance, Flavor and Cosmetic Industries (CAFFCI). The conference brought together nearly 300 technical leaders, R&D experts, and scholars from fragrance, flavor, cosmetics, raw material, and equipment companies to discuss industry development. Representatives from companies such as Guangzhou Pulan Fragrance & Flavor Co., Ltd. were invited to attend. Participants engaged in in-depth exchanges on cutting-edge technologies and innovation directions, focusing on the industry challenges under the current circumstances. The aim was to leverage technology to build consensus and jointly promote the industry towards a new stage of high-quality development, achieving a breakthrough and a "new beginning."

The 2023 China Flavor & Fragrance Cosmetics Industry Annual Conference and High-Quality Development Conference opened in Jinan. Themed "Innovation, Green, and Openness," the conference attracted over 600 attendees, including experts from the flavor & fragrance industry, entrepreneurs from key cosmetics companies such as L'Oréal, PROYA, Shanghai Jahwa, and Shanghai Fenghua, and representatives from international associations such as the European Cosmetics Association and the Korean Cosmetics Association, who gathered in Shandong to discuss development. This annual conference marks the first time in over a decade that the China Fragrance & Fragrance Association has hosted a northern province. Running until the 27th, it will feature a series of keynote speeches, industrial park promotions, industry information conferences, a forum on the development of new technologies and new business models, an international daily flavor & fragrance safety seminar, a forum on sustainable development in the fragrance & cosmetics industry, the 12th International Cosmetics High-Level Forum, the 17th China Fragrance & Fragrance High-Level Forum, exchanges between China, Japan, and South Korea associations, and a forum on high-quality development of the private sector in the fragrance & cosmetics industry. These parallel sessions will focus on industry hot topics, foster joint efforts to promote high-quality development in the cosmetics industry.

The 2023 Flavor and Fragrance Industry Development Forum was recently held in Nanning, Guangxi, with approximately 400 attendees, including relevant leaders, renowned experts, and corporate representatives. The forum, themed "Beautiful China, Healthy China, Fragrance of China," featured keynote speeches, a ceremony to launch keynote achievements, and matchmaking and negotiation activities. The forum also included the inaugural ceremony of the ASEAN Flavor and Fragrance Trading Platform, the inaugural ceremony of the Flavor and Fragrance Industry Research Institute, the launch ceremony for the filming of the documentary "Scent of China," the signing ceremony of standardization agreements between the Flavor and Fragrance Branch and the China Inspection and Quarantine Group and the China Maritime Commercial Exchange, the signing ceremony of halal food standardization agreements between the Flavor and Fragrance Branch and the Brunei Guangxi Chamber of Commerce, the release ceremony of the "Flavor and Fragrance Industry Development Guide," the release ceremony of several flavor and fragrance standards, and the announcement of the "Initiative to Promote the High-Quality Development of Flavors and Fragrances in China." The forum noted that flavors and fragrances have been a major commodity in international trade since ancient times and a crucial vehicle for the exchange of human civilizations. They offer a wide variety of products and a wide range of applications. As the province with the most distinctive natural flavors and fragrances industry in the country, Guangxi will take this forum as an opportunity to further promote technological innovation in the flavors and fragrances industry, push industrial development to the forefront, and strive to realize the "tens of millions of acres of area and tens of billions of yuan in output value" of flavors and fragrances as soon as possible.

The 2019 China Flavor and Fragrance Industry Conference (the 10th International Conference), hosted by the Flavor and Fragrance Branch of our association, was held at the St. Regis Hotel in Tianjin from May 21 to 24, 2019. A total of 391 official delegates attended the conference, including 90 international representatives. The meeting was chaired by Li Yi, Secretary-General of the Flavor and Fragrance Branch.

The 2015 China Flavor and Fragrance Industry Conference was held in Chengdu from July 5 to 8, 2015, with over 180 representatives, including over 40 international guests, in attendance. The conference featured presentations on topics such as the development trends of China's flavor and fragrance industry, hazardous chemical registration, lavender variety research, the Indonesian flavor and fragrance market, the Guangdong and Guangxi flavor and fragrance markets, and financial instrument analysis. An aromatherapy forum was also held, marking the official launch of the Chamber of Commerce's Aromatherapy Branch, with four experts delivering keynote speeches.

The 2016 China Fragrance & Fragrance Cosmetics Industry Association Annual Conference, themed "Forging Ahead, Innovating and Developing," was held in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, from August 26th to 29th. The conference aimed to promote in-depth international and domestic exchange on regulations, policies, and market trends, and to showcase the industry's latest achievements. Officials from relevant national ministries and commissions, as well as relevant departments in Jiangsu Province and Suzhou City, as well as representatives from international organizations and industry experts attended the conference.

The conference heard the work report of the 7th Council delivered by Chairman Chen Shaojun, reviewed and approved the "Charter of the China Flavor & Fragrance Cosmetics Industry Association" and related reports, reviewed and approved the "13th Five-Year Plan" for the flavor and fragrance industry and the "13th Five-Year Plan" for the cosmetics industry, held the 5th Enterprise High-Level Forum and Industry Information Conference, the 10th China Flavor & Fragrance High-Level Forum, the 5th International Cosmetics High-Level Forum, and the inaugural meeting and brand building forum of the Brand Building Committee. Concurrently with the conference, exhibitions of innovative achievements and various high-quality products from the Chinese flavor, fragrance and cosmetics industry, as well as corporate image presentations, were held.

A business exchange meeting between the China Flavor & Fragrance Cosmetic Industry Association and the China Daily Chemical Industry Research Institute was recently held at the China Daily Chemical Research Institute in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province. At the invitation of the China Daily Chemical Research Institute, Chairman Chen Shaojun and Secretary-General Dong Shufen of the China Fragrance & Fragrance Association, along with business department representatives from the association, visited the China Daily Chemical Research Institute from August 10 to 11, 2017, and held a business exchange meeting.

On May 25, the 2024 China Flavor and Fragrance Technology Conference and the 15th Academic Seminar with the theme of "Smart Technology, Infinite Possibilities" was grandly held at the Wuxi International Convention Center. The conference featured rich content and diverse formats, including an expert forum, an AI technology forum, presentations on outstanding papers, a perfumer skills competition, and the launch meeting for the development of the group standard "Technical Guidelines for Odor Control in the Flavor and Fragrance Industry." Academicians, experts from relevant universities, renowned domestic and international industry scholars, and representatives from leading companies delivered engaging speeches. These speeches focused on the latest scientific and technological developments and cutting-edge research in the global flavor and fragrance industry, delved into industry regulations, and exchanged views on the opportunities and challenges presented by scientific and technological innovation. The conference aimed to provide new ideas and impetus for the industry's innovative development and contribute to the high-quality development of my country's flavor and fragrance industry. The expert forum kicked off at 9:30 a.m. at the Wuxi International Convention Center. The morning session was moderated by Professor Ke Qinfei of Shanghai University of Applied Technology. Keynote speeches were delivered by Academician Sun Baoguo of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Professor Xiao Zuobing of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Researcher Zhang Jianbo of the National Food Safety Risk Assessment Center. They focused on the opportunities and challenges of my country's flavor and fragrance industry development, aroma synergy and release control research, and the progress of the revision of standards related to food flavors and fragrances.

The 8th Member Representative Conference of China Association of Fragrance, Fragrance and Cosmetics Industry and the 2016 Industry Annual Conference were held in Suzhou Taihu Xiangshan International Hotel from September 26 to 29. More than 500 people attended the conference, including the vice president, executive director, director, heads of member units and related personnel of the industry association, and related enterprises in the industry chain of raw materials, equipment, packaging materials, beauty salons, etc. of the flavor, fragrance and cosmetics industry.Under the guidance of the country's "13th Five-Year Plan", China's fragrance and cosmetics industry attaches importance to supply-side reform, implements the policy of Internet+, and leads the development of the industry with the new concept of new normal and new thinking. The whole industry presents a good situation of sustained development. In order to summarize past experience, gather industry consensus, and achieve innovative development of the whole industry, this conference specially invited leaders of relevant national departments, leaders of relevant departments of Jiangsu Province and Suzhou City, relevant international organizations and industry experts, and mainstream media to attend the meeting for guidance and exchange.
